Q: How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the App Store app on your Mac, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click Manage, find AI Exam Preparation, and select Cancel Subscription. You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

Q: I was charged but didn't get Pro access. What do I do?

First, open the app, open the Upgrade to Pro screen from the sidebar banner, and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom. If the issue persists, contact us at support.hamna@gmail.com with your Apple ID and we'll resolve it promptly.

Q: How do I restore my purchases on a new Mac?

Open the app, tap the "Upgrade to Pro" banner in the sidebar, and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of that screen. Your subscription will unlock automatically once verified with your Apple ID.

Q: The app is crashing or not working properly. What should I do?

Try the following steps:

  • Close and reopen the app
  • Restart your Mac
  • Update the app to the latest version from the App Store
  • Check your internet connection — generating a quiz, flashcards, or grading an answer requires network access to reach our AI service
  • Reinstall the app if the issue persists

If none of these work, email us with your Mac model and macOS version.

Q: How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request one.

Q: Is my data private?

Mostly, yes — with one specific thing worth knowing about. AI Exam Preparation does not create accounts and does not collect personal information like your name or email, and we don't use any analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs.

That said, generating content is this app's whole purpose, and that inherently requires a network request. When you generate a quiz, flashcards, short-answer questions, a mock exam, study notes, or fill-in-the-blank questions — or when an answer gets graded — the topic or prompt text you enter (or the text extracted on-device from a file you upload) is sent to our Cloud Function, which relays it to OpenAI's API to produce the result. That text isn't stored by us beyond completing that one request.

Everything you generate — every saved quiz, deck, short-answer set, mock exam, study notes, or fill-in-the-blank set — is stored locally on your Mac in the app's own Library, and is never uploaded anywhere afterward. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Q: What's included with Pro?

Pro subscribers get:

  • Unlimited generations across every study mode — Quiz, Flashcards, Short-Answer Practice, Mock Exam, Study Notes, Fill-in-the-Blank, Exam Practice, and Timed Challenge (the free tier includes 3 free generations total, shared across every mode — not 3 per tool)
  • Spaced Repetition Review is available to everyone, free or Pro, since reviewing what you've already gotten wrong doesn't use up any generation credits
  • Cancel anytime
